Because of its setting, stands out for a drink, a snack or an inexpensive meal. The restaurant, in a cave at the base of a cliff in the middle of town actually, it is one huge piece of rock the size of a 10-story building, heavily draped in vines has to be the most dramatic place I’ve ever lifted a Stella.
Open for lunch and dinner every day, the restaurant’s four-course meal of salad, grilled meat, cheese and dessert is only about euro 12. It specializes in such local specialties aïoli, boeuf à la mode de Beaucaire and rouille.
